How many poles is 277v single phase power?
I wanted to know if 277v single phase power is just like 3 phase 277 volt power. Can someone explain the difference? Thanks.
Single phase in any part of the world requires only two wires (and ground). I suspect you mean in the US, so that will be a Bi phase supply with two incoming phases. If you want this 277V single phase from a 3 phase 277V supply, just connect to two of the three phases, use a double pole switch and a double pole breaker.
