Sheet Metal Welding is popular in dent repair, metal finishing as well as very extravagant artwork. Sheet Metal welding requires patience a lot of practice and average skill. The welding procedures used may be best determined by the specific project but may also be determined by tool available and the level of welding experience.

The three most common methods of welding sheet metal are Gas Welding, Mig Welding and Tig Welding. Of the three, TIG welding is less frequently used as TIG welders are not usually as accessible as gas and Mig Welders.

One of the advantages to gas welding is that the sheet metal is kept soft during the welding process, so a novice welder will find the material more malleable and much easier to work with. MIG welding is just the opposite; the material is harder to work with, louder and is known to shrink. The best metal welding combines the two processes to achieve the desired result. My advice is to work with a Gas Welder first to get the hang of it, and then introduce yourself slowly to the MIG welding process, testing in less visible areas. Most welding experts will gas weld as much as they can and then Mig Weld in the harder to reach places. The important thing to remember when combining these two welding procedures is to gas weld before MIG welding and never weld in the opposite order.

As weld with gas, use a small tip on your welder and be sure to have all your settings right. You don't want to try to weld with too much or too little pressure, so it's worth it to pay attention to your equipment as you weld. If you hear excessive popping, or too much noise, you need to make adjustments to your equipment.

Less experienced MIG welders tend to complain about not being able to see their work as they weld. So be sure your face mask is in good repair with clear lenses, and always work in plenty of light.

Equipment other than welders is also need to weld sheet metal safely and successfully. For safety's sake, you'll need heavy Welding Gloves. The welding gloves will protect your hands from sparks or sheet metal shards which may fly during the welding process. You'll also need a face mask specifically for welding; the best models have a light sensor attached to the mask.

Tool-wise, you'll need grinders, wire brushes, sandpaper at varying grits, vice grips, clamps, pliers with rubber grips on the handles, and sheet metal hammers. None of these items are optional. They all make sheet welding easier, and safer, and will ultimately make for a job well done.

Wheelchair modifications?

I stole a wheelchair from some homeless chick and I would like to swap it from electric to gas powered with either pull-start, or push-button start. What would be an ideal motor for such a project? I am looking at 2 strokes from wrecked bikes and small engine shops. I have TIG welded some wheelie bars I made at work and am putting a strut system for the back wheels. Anyone have experience with this? I want the next cripple who gets my wheelchair to have some attitude in this thing.

As long as you are goiing to put a gas engine on it why not do it up right? Place the engine on the rear (you will have to build the frame). Install a small 4 cyl turbo engine sideways. You will have to build a shaft from one wheel to the other then bolt on chain pullys to the crank shaft & the axle. Install the chain. If he or she doesn't get an attitude from the start ,they will from the stop.

Has anyone else gotten stretch marks that didnt start out red or pink?

all the research im doing states that when stretch marks first appear they are reddish pink but mine arent and they are new litterly a day old, when you look at them normal you cant see them but in dim light you can see them they kinda almost glow, im wondering has anyone else gotten these type of stretch marks? if you did how did they heal? bad or better then the reddish ones? (since i have a few red ones on my butt) THIS IS CONFUSING lol

mine were almost a purpley-blue color. it took a couple of years but they are almost completely gone and the weird color is completely gone - they are just whitish now.

Animal Evolution

Like all living things animals undergo changes as each new generation succeeds the one that existed before. These changes are usually so small that they are difficult to see but over millions of years they can completely alter the way that animals look and behave. This process of change is called evolution and it allows animals to take advantage of new opportunities and to adapt to changes that take place in the world around them. Evolution works by changing the existing characteristics usually by a series of very small mutations. The result of these changes is that every animal is a living form of evolutionary history, which shows how different species are related to each other.

Evolution is made possible by the variations that exist with animals. It exists because animals compete with each other for the limited amount of resources that are available, space and food. Those animals with the more useful characteristics and features will survive whereas the weaker animals will find it difficult to exist. This 'weeding out' process is called selection and natural selection operates on a continuous basis. An example of this is camouflage which is a valuable aid to an animal's survival. Natural selection will ensure that any improvements that are made to an animal's camouflage are passed onto the next generation, increasing its chances of survival and also its chances of producing its young.

Adaptations such as camouflage will only last as long as they are useful. If an animal's lifestyle changes, the path of evolution will also change. This has happened with birds; some lineages have evolved the power of flight but have lost this when they have taken up life on land.

A species is any group of animals that has the ability to interbreed and under normal circumstances does not breed with another species. Speciation is the evolutionary process that brings about new animals. It usually occurs when an exiting species become spilt up into two or more isolated groups, which are kept apart either by physical barriers such as mountains and seas, or by changes in behaviour. If these groups remain separate for enough time, they manage to evolve their own characteristic adaptations and become so different that they no longer interbreed.

Speciation is hard to observe because it occurs at a very slow pace but evidence of it is easy to find. Most animals show distinct regional differences and in time these local subspecies are able to become species in their own right.

Extinction is a natural form of evolution becomes for some species to succeed, other species must fail. Since life began 99 per cent of the earth;s species have disappeared and on at least five occasions large numbers have died out in a very short space of time. The most recent of these mass extinctions was 65 million years ago when dinosaurs and other species died. However, despite such catastrophes the total number of living species has until recently, followed a generally upward trend. Today the extinction rate is increasing rapidly because of human interference in the ecosystem. Primates, tropical birds and amphibians are particularly threatened and this is likely to continue; evolution generates new species at a much slower rate than the current rate of extinction.

Unrelated animals often develop very noticeable similarities. An example of this is dolphins and sharks who are fundamentally very different but both have streamlined bodies with an upright dorsal fin, giving them speed and stability underwater. Amphisbaenians and caecilians also look very similar bur the former are reptiles and the latter are amphibians. These similarities are a result of convergent evolution, a process in which natural selection comes up with the same set of adaptations to a particular way of life. It does this by reshaping body parts or whole animals until outwardly they look the same. Convergence is responsible for a whole series of similarities in the animal kingdom. It can make the task of tracing evolution difficult which is a main reason why the details of animal classification often change.

Over millions of years animals have managed to evolve complex partnerships with each other and also with other forms of life. In one common form of partnership, called mutation or symbiosis, both species are able to benefit from this arrangement. Examples are oxpeckers and larger mammals and corals and microscopic algae. A lot of these partnerships are loose ones but some are so highly evolved that the two partners are unable to survive without each other. Partnerships may appear to be mutually beneficial but each partner is driven by self interest. If one partner is able to change the balance in its favour, natural selection will lead it to do so. The ultimate outcome of all this is parasitism, where one animal, the parasite, lives in or outside another, entirely at the hosts expense.

The present day distribution of animals is the result of many differing factors. The continental drift and volcanic activity constantly reshapes the surface of the earth. These geological activities have split up animal groups and created new habitats. One of the most important effects of this is in Australia and Madagascar which have been isolated from the rest of the world for millions of years. Here a whole range of indigenous species live, such as kangaroos and lemurs that are found nowhere else outside their native homes.

Animals are separated when continents drift apart and they are brought together when they collide. The distribution of animals is evidence of such events long after they occur. For example Australasia and Southeast Asia became close neighbours a long time ago but their wildlife remains entirely different. It is divided by "Wallaces Line", an invisible boundary that shows where the continents came together.

Mexican Auto Insurance - Things You Should Know

If you are thinking of taking your car south of the border down Mexico way, then check out these tips to avoid finding yourself doing the Mexican Hat Dance.

1. Driving Conditions in Mexico
To put it politely, driving in Mexico can be quite an adventure! Minor bumps and fender-benders are quite common, especially at intersections and stop lights. It is a fairly common practice for Mexican drivers to disable their tail lights with the sole purpose of causing someone to bump into their rear in order to claim on their insurance. 2. Mexican Auto Insurance
Having Mexican auto insurance is a must as U.S. and Canadian auto insurance is not recognized in Mexico. Not having Mexican auto insurance can lead to jail time and the confiscation of your vehicle. It' best to buy your Mexican auto insurance before you enter Mexico but the Mexican authorities will allow you to drive up to 25 miles over the border to purchase it in Mexico.

3. Check Your Medical Insurance
As stated above, driving in Mexico can be dangerous so you should consider taking out emergency assistance coverage as most health insurance providers in the States do not cover Mexico.

4. Legal and Bond Expenses
Make sure your Mexican auto insurance policy includes a provision for Legal Assistance and Bond Expenses because believe it or not, according to Mexican law, which is based upon the Napoleonic Code, you are considered guilty until proven otherwise and having an accident is a felony. The Mexican police have the right to impound your car and detain you whilst they investigate the case and if found guilty, until you have paid the damages that have been deemed to have been caused by you.

I'm playing Grand Theft Auto 4 on PS3 and some of the gameplay is so dark I can't even see..?

Sometimes the game is so dark I can't even see where I'm going, is there anything I can do besides wait for it to be daytime in the game. I've tried adjusting the brightness with the cheat code but it doesn't work at night.

Turn up the brightness in the options menu, if its still too dark then you have your TV set way too dark and need to set your tv brightness

How to Choose the Correct Trade Show Display?

You should choose a trade show display based on the trade show or event for which you will be using the display. The display that best presents the products, services, and company image desired, will attract future customers. Frankly, a display is designed to do assist in creating or maintaining brand awareness. For once an attendee has been lured to your display; your booth's job is done. It is then up to you to throw down the hammer and commandeer that attendee as a future customer.

With only an ephemeral moment to seize the attention of a trade show attendee, your trade show display must make a plea to your target audience's needs. Your display has to effectively communicate who you are, what you do, and how your company can be of aid.

But, determining the correct display can be a daunting task. When purchasing a trade show display, you want to choose a professional based company with expertise and excellent customer service. If you consider the questions listed below you will have a much better idea of the direction for your display needs. Keep in mind; you will be limited by the size of your booth. Working under that premise, take a look at some options for that area.

1) What is the booth size?

2) What is the show budget?

3) How many individuals will be working the show?

4) What are the marketing and sales objectives?

5) How will the display be transported to the show?

6) Will graphics need to be created?

By answering these questions, you will narrow the search for a display booth. Once objectives and your trade show calendar for the year have been set, the next step is to choose a display. The display decision should be based on the specific show objectives, budgetary restrictions, as well as, corporate branding goals and guidelines. If for example you are a marketing director for a big company with an unlimited budget and want to position yourself as a leader in your industry, a large booth space and a custom or high end modular exhibit for enhanced appearance would best suit your needs. Just remember each represents their particular calling card. You could equate it to the myriad of different HD televisions now available on the market. Though, when broken down to its bare essence, no one is any better than the next. The makeup from one frame to another is not overly important. Further, most of these displays have one thing in common... a lifetime warranty on the frame. Some offer a one Year Warranty on their display. The frame is the most important piece to your display. Every model, big or small, is a great portable trade show display choice for any trade show exhibitor. Today, marketers must achieve their goals with reduced budgets. Again, Pop Up Displays will assist you in stretching your budget because they are lighter weight and designed for easy set-up and tear-down. Further, you will save on storage,
transportation, and labor costs.

Panel System Displays are an alternative to Pop Ups, and depending on their quality and countertop options, can provide a higher end look than a Pop Up Display. Panel displays generally hold more weight than Pop Ups, so they can work well if you have heavier products or a number of computer monitors to display. They are constructed of upper and lower panels that are assembled via Heavy Duty bolts. Panel systems give you an extreme amount of flexibility of design choices as displays can be custom created to your needs. Flexibility also abounds in color selection as upper and lower panels can be different. Most come with panels covered in fabric, be sure to select the color that best matches your companies logo, brand, products or overall image.

Modular Exhibits are high end exhibits that provide a custom look but can still be setup in a few hours, shipped in standard rotomolded plastic cases, and thus have a lower total cost of ownership than custom booths. Modular exhibits generally use higher end materials including tensile fabric structures, extruded aluminum frames, high end composites and laminates, and innovative bold designs. Modular exhibits will hold more weight and can also be used to hold large plasma screens and LCD panels.

• Make your logo simple to view even from a long distance. You want to make sure that your target audience can find you at a glance. High visibility is a priority.

• Consider using mural graphic panels to increase the value and emotional impact of your display. Remember, "Perception is Reality!"

Remember, purchasing a trade show display allows you complete freedom of expression. Be cognizant that the exhibit design should revolve around your specific tradeshow needs. The Trade Show Display, Exhibit or Booth should project your company's individuality, character, and panache. Over time purchasing a new tradeshow display may be your most economical long term solution to your trade show needs. Once you've answered the questions presented earlier and understood the dynamic differences between the many display options, you will be more informed and better suited to create your new display space.
