Is a dark (tinted/mirrored) motorcycle helmet Face Shield dangerous at night?

I am hoping to get a motorcycle soon, and am trying to figure out what gear i want now so I will know what to get when the time comes. I would want a darker or mirrored face shield, but I don't know if this would reduce my visibility at night. Would these reduce any visibility or make night riding or low light riding more dangerous?

It's very hard to see with them on at night. It's like driving a car that has all the windows and the windshield tinted really dark.

Best thing to do would be either get a helmet like the scorpion EXO-1000, HJC FS-10, or Vemar Jiano. They have integrated sunshields inside that flip up or down (sorta like retractalbe half shields) they offer the best of both worlds.

If you don't like those, you could get a scorpion EXO-400 or EXO-700 and buy a different visor to swap out during the day. It's pretty easy to change the shields on scorpion helmets (I have one). This is what i plan to do when i get a tinted visor..

the ONLY other option i can think of is to get a Fog City insert for the visor. It sticks to the inside of your visor and tints to a green/blue color when it's bright outside. Take your pick, all three of those options should give you what you want and keep you safe.
